The Washington State Arts Commission’s Folk Arts program helps to preserve, present, and protect the traditional arts of Washington’s many diverse cultures. It aims to document, honor, and perpetuate these traditions by encouraging public awareness and appreciation of folk arts through a number projects, articles on Hmong and other traditions, Folk Arts Fellowship and Apprenticeship grants, and partnerships like the Folk and Traditional Arts in the Parks program with Washington State Parks.
